Bob Rickert (born 1958) is a guard of a warehouse where his "friends from school" store things, one of which, Sally Alvarado, had drugs stored inside. Rickert, being too green for his task, let James "Sonny" Crockett and Ricardo "Rico" Tubbs into the warehouse to find the contraband, and (after Crockett threatens Rickert with jail time) informs Crockett whose drugs they are. After Alvarado is arrested, Rickert and his wife talk about what he did, and about Crockett being arrested when he refused to reveal Rickert's identity in court. Rickert, feeling guilt over Crockett being in jail, went to Alvarado's attorney, Richard Cain to reveal himself to get Crockett released, but is in jeopardy from Alvarado's men, but the Vice cops arrest Alvarado before Rickert (and his wife) can be harmed.
