'The NPZR effect, short for Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot, is the process by which the coolness of two or more concepts increases greatly when they are combined. Examples include the chainswords from Warhammer 40,000, combinations of chainsaws and swords, and lightsabers from Star Wars, combinations of laser weapons and swords. Occasionally, this applies even if one of the concepts is not intrinsically cool, as in the case of The Adventures of Dr. McNinja - doctors are not particularly cool, but ninjas sure as hell are. And combining them produces awesomeness, as many can attest.
