Sheri Joyner was the 19th Governor-General of New Englia and a former governor. She was selected by the Progressive Party to replace former Governor-General Hans Eikman who died on the campaign trail during his bid for reelection. Joyner entered the position with a full slate of issues affecting the republic including the controversy surrounding a 3 Trillion FRX plan to upgrade the nations infrastructure that has been stuck in the Senate since the Hoover Administration. In 2878, she announced she would seek reelection and began actively campaigning around the nation. She won the 2879 election with 68% of the vote. She chose to retire and not seek a 4th term in office. She currently lives in her summer home at Northport on Fire Island. Joyner holds the distinction of being the oldest living Governor-General and claimed the title of longest living when she turned 91. On January 23, 2911 she died after suffering from a heart attack and is buried in Lucas National Cemetary.
