He left the club a second time in July 2001 after expressing his desire to be nearer his family. Despite being born in Liberia, Andreasson is registered as a Swedish player due to his citizenship. He has never played for the Swedish national side, and is the only Rovers player to have worn two different squad numbers in the same season, having worn numbers 15 and 36 during the 1999–00 season.
