| - The Cybrid Armature was a mobile anti-vehicle and anti-personnel unit employed in high-risk areas, oftentimes deployed directly from a dropship. The unit consisted of a quadruped walker and was usually accompanied by shock troopers. Armed with superior firepower and a siege-grade pulse cannon, this droid was easily a match against most armored vehicles. Its main armament was deadly but slow to recharge, but the Armature compensated by knocking down infantry with its smaller secondary weapons, which, while not as powerful, fired more rapidly, making it very dangerous to engage an Armature up close.

Its main armament was deadly but slow to recharge, but the Armature compensated by knocking down infantry with its smaller secondary weapons, which, while not as powerful, fired more rapidly, making it very dangerous to engage an Armature up close. When inactive, Armatures folded into a compact state, allowing them to be packed into containers, or cram themselves into small spaces. This feature, combined with their armaments, made Armatures perfect for garrison forces or an ambush. Not to be confused with its initial design, the Armature-class Assault Droid, this new droid was initially meant to replace the prototype design, but it was soon discovered that they both held ideal purposes where the other was considered insufficient, and so both droid types remained in service for the Crimson Empire.
