The Null is an after-life dimension of chaos, featured in the novel Revival, in which dead humans, and "ant-like" creatures, are enslaved for eternity by insane "Lovecraftian" beings. The protagonist in the novel describes the large black blocks of a ruined city in a desolate landscape, and a "nightmare parade" of humans forced to march by the ant-people who had enslaved them, and who in turn served the Lovecraftian beings. The landscape has a "paper sky" with what first appears to be "howling stars" which are in reality holes through which the driving force of the universe pours through.
