A devout Catholic like the rest of his family, Quinn met his first death in 1098 while fighting in the First Crusade. He was then found by the Immortal, Vahid Razi, who taught him about what he was and the rules of the Game. Over his long life, Quinn became increasingly bitter and easily angered. In the 18th century, Quinn settled in Leipzig, and began working as a master craftsman. He took a young boy by the name of David Keogh as an indentured servant in 1757. When the boy had been in his service for a number of years, Quinn beat him to death in a fit of rage, triggering Keogh's immortality. Quinn then became Keogh's first teacher.
