- As players may intentionally use the wrong bait or repeatedly poison penance healers to death quickly instead of waiting for the poison to whittle down their life points, Penance Fighters and Rangers would be good targets as they are less situational; targeting them would reduce the load of healing especially if the attacker has a low combat level.

In Banjo-Kazooie, they were usually just referred to as Eggs, and were mainly used to solve puzzles. Although they could be used to attack enemies, they weren't very efficient, as they could only be fired straight ahead, and not be aimed. At first, Banjo and Kazooie could hold up to 100 eggs, but with one of Cheato's spells, they could hold up to 200.

Kya must obtain the egg in order to start gathering the runes and finding Frank. Aton assists Kya, by placing signs down to show the entrance to the Flying Forest. When Kya reaches the Flying Forest and finds the blue egg, she picks it up, in which it moves and falls on the floor, causing the egg to crack. A creature (Stuff, flies out of the newly cracked egg and at this point, Atea is able to communicate with Kya telepathically through the creature.

In Banjo-Tooie, Blue Eggs were the default eggs, and they had the same capacities as they did in the first game. Also, with the help of Drill Sergeant Jamjars, Kazooie was able to aim the eggs while either standing, flying or swimming. However, with the introduction of newer, stronger eggs, the role of Blue Eggs diminished greatly, as they were only needed to solve the odd puzzle.
