The Torotoroka scops owl (Otus madagascariensis), is a species of scops owl in the Strigidae family. It is endemic to Madagascar. It was previously its own species. Otus madagascariensis and Otus rutilus have now been re-lumped following Fuchs et al. (2007). Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical dry forests.
