A Cymul is an enemy in The Subspace Emissary. It reflects any long distance projectiles back to the player. Cymuls are stationary but some move. Cymuls are quite rare, only appearing in Skyworld, Research Facility 2, Battleship Halberd Interior, Battleship Halberd Exterior (display room only) Subspace Bomb Factory 2, and The Swamp and Research Facility parts of The Great Maze. If touched it will slice you with the four blades it has on its sides. The blades rotate around it. It can be attacked and defeated. Be sure you don't get sliced though. Upon capture, you can capture it without weakening it even on intense.
