After appearing in a highly successful feature film, ET, based on his life, he was unable to hold on to his fame, until his death was announced in 1999. However, since then, he has revealed he is still alive, and is relaunching his showbiz career. Gold-digger.

- Expecting the world to end in the episode "Da Boom", Peter Griffin comes out of the basement in a protective suit. Chris Griffin, not knowing it is his own father, tells E.T. to run because he thinks the government is here to get him. E.T. runs across the room, arms flailing and doing his famous scream.
