Radio brīva Latvija un Pärnu/ Raadio Vaba Leedus ja Pärnu (English: Radio Free Latvia and Pärnu) was set up in 1948 by a Finnish individual of who had fled Latvia in 1939, a fellow Latvian refugee and a couple of Finnish atavists. They were briefly operative in southern Finland, near Espoo during a 6 month period between 1948 and 1949 on a narrow armature S.W. frequency. The local authorities peaceful shut it down fearing upsetting the USSR.
