The Hairdryer, or just Dryer, is an item obtainable in Silent Hill 3. As the name suggests, it is just a regular hairdryer, but its purpose in the game is to allow Heather Mason to exit the Underpass. It does this by, after being plugged in, electrocuting a monster lying under the sewer water. Neglecting to use the hairdryer will result in an instant death should Heather attempt to cross the Underpass bridge.
