Race for the Chips is the 25th level in Chip's Challenge Level Pack 2. It was designed by Kyle Wightman. The entire level is 52 alcoves, 51 containing computer chips and one with the exit, which Chip must collect. The challenge in the level comes from the inclusion of a teeth that Chip must outwit. The bold route uses odd step, but waiting [1] at the start in even step still scores the same.

abstract
  • Race for the Chips is the 25th level in Chip's Challenge Level Pack 2. Play 3U, all the way left to the first chip, and raid the ladder all the way up to the exit, where Chip can just escape by moving 3R and down. Raid all the way to the second chip on the bottom, wait [1], and then continue to raid without pause until Chip comes to the last two chips. When 27 chips remain, move as the teeth plays to the very bottom, and on the next wait [2] before coming out. Now, take the lowest two chips on the right, wait until the teeth is in the very end, then take each chip and wait [2] before emerging each time up until 18 remain, when Chip has a sufficient lead to keep running. Take the first two chips on the north edge, wait [1], and then Chip can play to the very end without further impediment.
