The site launched on January 24, 2008. In it's first week, the site got more than 35,000 page views, with media coverage of Carpentier's firing fueling traffic. The site has numerous other contributors, including Jason Cox and anonymous writers Blogenfreude and TRex, all three of whom were previously prolific Wonkette commenters.
