It is the second game in the No More Heroes video game series, and was initially released on January 26, 2010. The game was directed by Toshihiro Fujikawa, produced by Goichi Suda at Grasshopper Manufacture and published by Ubisoft, Rising Star Games and Marvelous Entertainment. Through Desperate Struggle, Suda wished to convey to players "the true meaning of fighting."
