Rita Blakemoor was a rich, middle-aged woman New York City who appeared in The Stand. She was immune to Captain Trips, which allowed her to escape New York City with Larry Underwood through the Lincoln Tunnel. Rita would later die sleeping with Larry, overdosing and choking on her own vomit, after ingesting an unknown number of her pills. Rita does not appear in The Stand (miniseries), being essentially fused into the character of Nadine Cross, who takes Rita's actions and her own actions for the series.
