The Safety Patrol is a service ran by Westmore Middle School. It's purpose, as seen in the movie, is to act as the "police" of the middle school. In the Diary of a Wimpy Kid (film), Greg Heffley refers to it as "the cops of middle school." Various tasks Safety Patrol members have to preform include: walking pre-schoolers to their day care and enforcing the laws of the school. Safety Patrol members have a lot of privileges - free hot cocoa, missing 20 minutes of Pre-algebra (Which, to Rowley, is a bad thing), and protection from bullies. It states in the first book that anyone who picked on a Safety Patrol member would be suspended immediately in consequence.

- The Safety Patrol is a group from The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. A group of children who defend the Sunken City from monsters, they are first seen attacking Dimitri; believing he is a monster who has come to attack the city, they gang up on him. As Link approaches them, they notice his Bombs and ask him to give them away. If Link agrees, they leave Dimitri alone and run off, seeking to use their newfound weaponry to defeat any potential threats to the city. Later, they can be found in the same area, saddened by Dimitri's absence and claiming that they were going to let him join the Safety Patrol.
