Founded by Dr. Charles W. Anderson, Northeastern Bible College first opened in September, 1950, as Brookdale Bible School, at the Brookdale Church in Bloomfield, New Jersey. The college relocated to a campus in Essex Fells, New Jersey in the fall of 1952. The name was changed in 1964 to Northeastern Collegiate Bible Institute, and finally in 1973 to Northeastern Bible College. There are about 2000 alumni from Northeastern Bible College, 70% of whom are engaged in full-time Christian service.

  • Founded by Dr. Charles W. Anderson, Northeastern Bible College first opened in September, 1950, as Brookdale Bible School, at the Brookdale Church in Bloomfield, New Jersey. The college relocated to a campus in Essex Fells, New Jersey in the fall of 1952. The name was changed in 1964 to Northeastern Collegiate Bible Institute, and finally in 1973 to Northeastern Bible College. The college was granted full accreditation by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools in 1974, but closed in 1990 due to financial difficulties and low enrollment. Many students and some of the faculty subsequently transferred to The King's College, in Briarcliff Manor, New York. There are about 2000 alumni from Northeastern Bible College, 70% of whom are engaged in full-time Christian service.
