A quest recollector is a NPC (or group of NPCs) that can tell the player about what happened in certain quest series, highlighting major plot points and characters. Given that some quest series can be released across several years (such as Plague City, the first quest of the Plague Series, being released nearly 12 years before the final quest, Plague's End), these NPCs allow players that completed the earlier instalments nearer to their release dates or otherwise do not clearly remember them to refresh their memories of the overarching plot's core events so that when new quests are released much later they may be thus completed with a deeper understanding of the storyline and lore without needing to consult sources outside the game.
