Revocation refers to the right of a buyer to revoke his acceptance of a lot or commercial unit whose non-conformity substantially impairs its value to him if he has accepted it (a) on the reasonable assumption that its non-conformity would be cured and it has not been seasonably cured, or (b) without discovery of such non-conformity if his acceptance was reasonably induced either by the difficulty of discovery before acceptance or by the seller’s assurances.

  • Revocation is an American death metal band from Boston, Massachusetts. The band was founded by guitarist and vocalist David Davidson, bassist and vocalist Anthony Buda and drummer Phil Dubois-Coyne in 2000. The band was originally known as Cryptic Warning, but it changed its name to Revocation in 2006. The band released three studio albums, Empire of the Obscene, Existence Is Futile and Chaos of Forms in 2008, 2009 and 2011 respectively, and subsequently signed to Relapse Records.
  • Revocation is the process of changing a character from the maximum level (99) to the minimum level (1) in a single vocation in Dragon Quest IX. This process is useful for acquiring additional skill points, getting special items, and increasing the chances of getting higher quality treasure maps. Also note that stat growth items (Pretty betsy, Seed of Life/Magic/Strength/Deftness/Agility/Defence/Sorcery/Therapeusis) and passive stat bonuses obtained with skill points will remain in effect even if you revocate, though stat bonuses gained by level-up are lost.
  • In the law of contracts, revocation is a type of remedy for buyers when the buyer accepts a nonconforming good from the seller. Upon receiving the nonconforming good, the buyer may choose to accept it despite the nonconformity, reject it (although this may not be allowed under the perfect tender rule and whether the Seller still has time to cure), or revoke their acceptance. Under Article 2 of the Uniform Commercial Code, for a buyer to revoke, he must show (1) the goods failed to conform to the contract and (2) it substantially impaired the value of the goods (this is a question of fact).

If the buyer knew of the nonconformity at the time of acceptance, he can revoke only if he can show he accepted the goods with the impression the seller would cure it and that did not happen. If he did not know of the nonconformity at acceptance, he can revoke only if he can prove he was reasonably induced by the difficulty of discovering the defect or by the seller's assurances. The buyer can revoke if (1) it occurs within a reasonable time after the buyer discovers or should have discovered; (2) before any substantial change in the goods not caused by their own defects; and (3) not effective until the buyer notifies the seller he is going to revoke. Upon revocation, the buyer can then cancel the contract and compel refund of the purchase price of the goods. In some states, the courts allow the seller to set off the price for the time the buyer kept the goods before the revocation.
  • Revocation is the process of changing a character from the maximum level (99) to the minimum level (1) in a single vocation in Dragon Quest IX. This process is useful for acquiring additional skill points, getting special items, and increasing the chances of getting higher quality treasure maps. For a single character, revocation can be used as many times as you like for each vocation as long as he/she is level 99 in that vocation. If you revocate you will see after that vocation either +1, +2, +3, +4, +5, +6, +7, +8, +9, or finally a star. if you revocate again after you obtain the star it will stay as a star. The first time revocation is used on a vocation, a special item is given to the player as a bonus and if you revocate a hero's vocation 10 times you will get a new title (1 for each Vocation).
