  • Jungle Japes is the first stage of the game Donkey Kong 64. It can be accessed with only one Golden Banana and the most used Kong here is Donkey Kong. This is where Donkey Kong rescues Diddy Kong, so that he may be a playable character. The boss of this world is Army Dillo.
  • Jungle Japes is the first world in the game Donkey Kong 64. As the first world of game, Jungle Japes is where the player can learn to do many things, such as collecting items and being able to play as Rambi, an Animal Buddy. The entrance to this world is located on the base of Donkey Kong Island, and requires one Golden Banana (which can be obtained near the entrance to the world's lobby itself) to enter. Diddy Kong is held captive here in a mountain prison. It is also the first time that Funky's Armory appears.
  • Jungle Japes is a lush, tropical jungle area. There is a lake at the heart of the level. There is a cave underneath of the central area where a Kasplat and a Golden Banana are located, and tunnels connect every section of the level. One area of the level is always stormy, and it's here where Cranky Kong resides. The only Rambi crate in the game is located here as well.
  • Jungle Japes is the first level in Donkey Kong 64 for the Nintendo 64. It can be considered a training stage, as Donkey learns many of the basics in this stage including transforming into Rambi and collecting bananas. Diddy joins Donkey once he manages to rescue him from the mountain. Donkey can only enter the stage with one Golden Banana which is found near the entrance.
