Savage and his gang were watching the Sandringham country estate where General Rostov had taken up occupancy. Savage saw Rostov lead a shooting party in the grounds, using condemned British prisoners as quarry. Savage and the Mad Dogs disguise themselves as statues overnight, then ambush the shooting party the following day. Savage chases Rostov onto the roof before knocking him off with the mace from a suit of armour.
