Hit% (which often shows as simply Hit in the game) is a weapon stat used to determine how likely a weapon is to hit, before anything such as a character's stats, terrain, or other variables affect the outcome. Typically, long-range weapons are not very accurate, while close-range weapons tend to hit more often. Prf weapons tend to have very high hit rates, and Staves that heal units have a perfect hit rate (except in Fire Emblem: Thracia 776) no matter what might otherwise affect its accuracy. In the newer games, like Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, many melee weapons have over 100% hit when looking at them out of combat. This means if your enemy has a high dodge chance, your weapon may still have 100% hit rating when the dodge chance is taken off of your hit chance.
