After the defeat of the Ten-Tails and the sealing of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, Hagoromo had decided to spread his teachings of Ninshū to the world. During his travels he met with nine people who took deep interest in Hagoromo's ideals and were people of strong resolve. After Hagoromo's death and the start of the clash between his two sons, the Nine Jewels had lost their authority and each of them began utilizing chakra to discover and master different lines of ninjutsu. Out of the Nine Jewels, Four of them took the side of Indra while the other four took the side of Asura. The Ninth Jewel, who was the founder of Medical Ninjutsu, helped the wounded of both the sides playing the role of the joker. Years later, the Nine would retreat to places unknown to mankind. Their legends, inspiring many shinobi to go on voyages in search of the myth created by these Jewels. The Nine Jewels were discovered by the Uzumaki Clan who feared their rebirth and sealed them for eternity. The blood involved in sealing the nine jewels, dyed their hair red which would then become the Clans recognisable trait and a symbol of their courage and skill in fūinjutsu. One of the Jewels cursed the destruction of the Uzumaki while the other blessed them by making one of the Clans member as the next Saviour of the World.
