The Minister of Fervent Intercession, born Lod Rumnt was a highly renowned and respected member of the Covenant High Council. He is the last surviving son of Hod Rumnt, who pushed him into the political career at young age to be his successor as the future Hierarch soon found himself tiring of lifelong dealings in Covenant politics and soon found spirituality in the final years of his life. Lod quickly rose through the High Council and eventually was named the Minister of Fervent Intercession when the Human-Covenant War broke out. It is believed that if the war has not ended in 2552, and the Covenant had not been dissolved due to the Great Schism, he would have been one of the top candidates to replace Mercy, had he not secretly hidden his failing health from the High Council.

  • The Minister of Fervent Intercession, born Lod Rumnt was a highly renowned and respected member of the Covenant High Council. As a mission to prove his son's capability, Lod was placed in charge of the Siege of Jacinto from 2551 to 2553 by his father. Following the end of the war, Lod had abandoned his Minister title and took on a lot scrutiny by his Sangheili comrades among the Fleet of Cleansing Devotion. Believing he to be one of the last remaining San 'Shyuum, Lod made it critical to regain the trust of his fleet after discovering the betrayal of the Hierarchs and the outbreak of the Great Schism. After regaining the trust of his fleet, he set out to find whatever was left of his people, and to hopefully broker a peace between the San 'Shyuum and the Sangheili.
