The Guardian was a heavily modified CEC Class VI Freighter, owned by Guan Blackthorne. Guan purchased this ship in a junkyard at Nar Shaddaa, as it was due to becoming scrapped. Intrigued by its general design, he then had his friend, Ryy'Suuk, as well as his father's HRD, Neddac, help him take it to Taylon. There, they began the gruelling process of modifying the craft to fit their needs.

abstract
  • The Guardian was a heavily modified CEC Class VI Freighter, owned by Guan Blackthorne. This particular craft was restored to manufacturer-quality and, with the help of several allies of Guan's, three-quarters of the ship's cargo capacity was stripped in favor of a small, almost cramped hangar bay, capable of fitting four fighters comfortably enough. Branded with the insignia of the Guardians of Life, the Guardians completely redesigned the interior of this craft to be a mobile base of operations for the small group of Force users. With half of its remaining cargo space converted into training and studying rooms, and the other half for storage and cargo, the Guardian became the very roaming symbol of the group it served. Another modification that was put into place was the installment of two tractor beams, for use of the hangar bay, as well as two dual turbolaser turrets to fend off small-time capital ship threats and to help defend against starfighter and small freighter attacks. Though deemed somewhat anti-productive, Guan saw this application as a means of defending this costly investment, as the four starfighters stationed on this craft could easily help defeat any threats. The Guardian was an active participant of the Battle of Chil'a'Chin, the Battle of Taylon, and the Second Battle of Taylon. Afterwards, it was transferred to Ossus where it helped defend the planet from Darth Trayus, where it was severely damaged.
