Du Pinhua (22 April 1886? – 11 December 2006) was a Chinese supercentenarian claimant who allegedly lived to the age of 120 years, 233 days. She was certified by the former Shanghai branch of Guinness World Records, Shanghai Great World Guinness Book of Records, which had split from Guinness several years prior, and is no longer affiliated with GWR. Her daughter was herself a nonagenarian, she was very decrepit, and an 84-year-old man who was her neighbour recalled that when he was young, Pinhua was already in her 40s. Little is known about her early life, as much of the time she was interviewed, the reporters focused on her longevity rather than her life. It is known she was a Buddhist and a vegetarian until her final years, and that when she was young she was orphaned and raised by Buddh
