Ty Vespin was the mayor of the town of Harmondale. As an elected official, he was more popular than the representatives of the King of Erathia, who ruled the area at the time. In 817 AS, the people rose up against Baron Danforth Octavio, the king's highest representative in the area, as they were tired of his cruel tax collection methods. The baron was torn to pieces in the street, and the people decided to make Ty Vespin their new king.

Making Castle Harmondale the seat of his power, King Ty Vespin ruled for about six weeks, until King Aaron Gryphonheart IV marched on the town with two veteran legions. King Ty and his supporters were slain, and Harmondale was once again property of the throne of Erathia.
