abstract
  • Borea River runs from the largely drained Lake Wintergrasp, over a high waterfall, and down to the sea, forming the boundary between the Dragonblight and Borean Tundra. At its end, the river empties into the North Sea through a wide delta that forms a myriad of tiny islands. The name of this river is found in no source of lore. However, it may have the name "Borea River" because the name of the region beyond the river on the Borean Tundra side called the Transborea. The name Transborea would seem out of place in a region quite within the Borean Tundra, but if the name of the river was the Borea River, then the name of the subzone would mean 'the land just beyond the Borea River' (When viewed from the Dragonblight side).
