Disconnected, intermittent connectivity, and low-bandwidth (DIL) environments are often found in battlefield communications that can be disrupted by a number of factors including environmental constraints, wireless dynamics and mobility, and both intentional and unintentional interference. One example is radio data-links to unmanned vehicles.
