David Edwards is an English footballer who plays as a midfielder for Wolverhampton Wanderers. He also represents [[Image:|22x20px| |Flag of Wales]] Wales at international level. Born in Pontesbury, Shropshire, he started as an apprentice at his local club, Shrewsbury Town, where he would eventually spend 4 years in the first-team, before moving to Luton Town, where he spent one season. - David Edwards, a former physics teacher at Cheadle High School and Denstone College in Staffordshire, was a contestant on series 9 of the UK version of the show on 21 April, 2001. He became the second British contestant to win £1,000,000 (after Judith Keppel), and the first male contestant to do so. Later he appeared with Tara Palmer-Tomkinson on 6 September 2003 and won £64,000.
