James Todd Newton, known professionally as Todd Newton, is an American game show host. He was born May 5, 1970, in St. Louis, MO. He is best known for hosting Whammy! The All-New Press Your Luck. Prior to that, he also hosted the Game Show Network original Hollywood Showdown, which also aired on PAX-TV. He even hosts The Price Is Right Live! in Las Vegas. In 2012, Todd won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Game Show Host while hosting The Hub’s Family Game Night. In 2006, he was the Prize Deliverer for Gameshow Marathon. He was one of four finalists to replace Bob Barker as host of The Price is Right; however, he, Mark Steines and George Hamilton lost to Drew Carey.
