abstract
  • The Taunpymi Incident was an event in Orion history. In May 111 BCE (stardate −21/1105), a minor trade dispute developed into accusations by Treaty of Kammzdast signatories that their Orion slaves were involved in the growing piracy problem. Following the Incident, members of the Nine Worlds Confederation and other Kammzdast signatories came to believe that the Orions had gained too many rights and too much independence for a slave-race. They even grew jealous of their strangely fortunate and influential slaves. Anti-Orion riots occurred more frequently, and the Nine Worlds cracked down on the activities of Orion slaves — actions which eventually culminated in the Orion War.
