The program causes Koushiro & Tentomon to transform to DigiViolet & Kabuterimon, who are both able to target & destroy the Black Gear in Andromon's leg, returning him to normal. Back to normal, Andromon reveals that he is actually a very kind & helpful Digimon, & points the Digirangers on their way. When the Dark Masters took control over the Digital World, Andromon fought against Mugendramon. He was the first good Digimon to find the Digirangers after Mugendramon sent them underground. Andromon said he was trying to round up a resistance against Mugendramon. When Mugendramon broke through & found the Digirangers, Andromon fought him to give the kids some time to escape. Taichi & Agumon were able to transform into War DigiOrange & WarGreymon, & they both defeated the Dark Master. Andromon later helped the Digirangers fight against Piemon, but like most of them, he was turned into a key chain. After he was revived by Holy DigiYellow & HolyAngemon, he helped the rest of the Digirangers fight Piemon & his Evilmon army. Andromon reappears three years later as a slave of the Digimon Kaiser, controlled by an Evil Ring. With Hikari stranded at Full Metal City, the Digimon Kaiser decided to send Andromon. It seemed the Digirangers were outmatched by the powerful Andromon. It took Hikari's tears to bring Andromon back & make him remember his previous friendship with Hikari & the other Digirangers. After realizing who she was, he broke the Evil Ring from his neck & destroyed the Dark Tower, freeing the Guardromon in the city. The discovery that Perfect Digimon like Andromon could fight the Evil Ring caused the Kaiser to design the new Evil Spirals to compensate for the deficiency.
