The USS Luna (NX-80101) Federation Luna Class ship in the 24th century. The USS Luna was the prototype for the Luna Class. It was completed in 2372, but the war with the Klingons forced the class to be put on hold so that more combat capable ships could be built. After the Dominion War, the Luna class was redesigned with a larger armament and superior abilities. In 2378, the USS Luna was officially comissioned. A few months after the Borg Invasion of 2381, it was attacked by two ships under Admiral Sela's command only to fight them off. It came back for an upgrade of the weapons control software eight months later.
