The Chevrolet Corvette C7 Test Prototype '12 is a prototype car produced by Chevrolet. It appears as a free DLC for Gran Turismo 5 and is normally available in Gran Turismo 6. As a top-secret prototype, the true livery of the car is hidden behind a black vinyl camouflage which remains in place while the car is being driven. Only when the finalised C7 was released in 2013/14 was the actual appearance of the car be revealed. Although its handling can handle some circuits, it's "dead gear" (6th gear) feature allows it to acheive limitless top speed, as long as the player is drafting behind a faster opponent, and this makes it ideal for Special Stage Route X.
