Linwood is a community in southwestern Ontario. It is now a part of the township of Wellesley.
Linwood is a small town in Renfrewshire, near Glasgow. It originated as a small farming village, but during the 20th century a series of housing estates were built that increased population to around 10,000 people. The closure of the Rootes Car Plant in the 1980s resulted in the loss of a significant employer for the town and damaged the town's economy. The town continues to suffer from the loss of the factory but has recovered somewhat since its closure. A regeneration program has been underway in recent years. There are two high rise flats in Linwood:
* Belmar Court
* Asbury Court
