Roger Stanton Baum (born 1938) is the great-gransdon of L. Frank Baum, descended through Baum's eldest son Frank Joslyn Baum. Like his great-grandfather and grandfather, Roger S. Baum has written on Oz; alone among Baum's descendants, Roger Baum has developed a successful career as a writer for children. He has authored a series of Oz books, the first of them, Dorothy of Oz (book) (1989), being perhaps the best known and is the basis for the movie Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return (2014).
