Burger was no stranger to science fiction television before joining the staff of Voyager. She was previously a writer and producer on the popular science fiction series Quantum Leap, starring Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell, and served as a writer and supervising creative consultant on William Shatner's TekWar. More recent projects include credits as writer and supervising producer on the spy comedy series She Spies (2003-2004) and as story editor on the drama series Wild Card (2005).
