  • Battle Droids were droids programmed for combat, and were the bulk of the Confederacy of Independent Systems' military force and the foot soldiers of the Droid Army, fighting in battles as soldiers. While most droids were used for solely for combat purposes, there were a number of droids that had been built specifically for menial tasks and labor such as the piloting and firefighting. However these battle droids were often clumsy, and commanders such as General Grievous and Asajj Ventress held them in contempt, often destroying them in fits of rage.
  • The B1 Battle Droid or commonly known in-game as Battle Droid (not to be confused by different types of Battle Droids) is the primary infantry unit of the CIS and the basis for most of the other classes. Though their use greatly declined after the debacle at the The Battle of Naboo. In the first Battlefront it was only playable in the first two missions of the Clone Wars Historical Campaign. It is not available in Star Wars: Battlefront II. However, it served as the basis for it's more specialized counterparts, such as the Assassin Droid or Assault Droid among others. It is replaced by the B2 Super Battle Droid in Instant Action and all other campaign missions and is completely absent in SWBFII.
  • The Battle droid was a type of droid used by Gizor Dellso, though they turned on him when the Empire attacked. Battle Droids were known for being strong and had been used by the Rebel Alliance, Bail Organa and the Empire.
  • The Battle Droid has come out in the following 1/64 scale versions:
  • A battle droid (also referred to as war droid or killer droid) is any droid designed for combat. There are numerous types of battle droids. They predated the Galactic Republic by thousands of years, with the earliest known being Rakatan ancient droids and the war-robots used by Xim the Despot. Many of the best known battle droids were those used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. At the end of the Clone Wars, Sith Lord Darth Vader turned off the Master control signal, deactivating most of the Separatist Droid Army. After this, battle droids are extremely rare.
  • These droids are produced in hundreds of facteries around the galaxy. There design is to make the look like dead Neimoidians.
  • B1 battle droids were battle droids that made up the backbone of the Trade Federation Droid Army and the Separatist Droid Army. Often called "Clankers" by Galactic Republic clone troopers, they were the successor of the OOM-series battle droid. The B1 battle droid was frequently used as a soldier for the Trade Federation. As a result, B1s were present in nearly every battle involving the Trade Federation.
  • Battle droids were used by the Trade Federation and later the Confederacy of Independent Systems in the Clone Wars. They form the majority of both organisations' armies. They appear in many Star Wars sets, especially from Episode I, Episode II and Episode III. They were usually produced in plants on distant planets such as Geonosis and Hypori. After being programmed, they were sent on missions against the Republic, or used to spread fear on star systems opposing the Trade Federation. Regular Battle Droids had no mind of their own, and they were controlled by a central computer. Battle droids were designed to defeat their enemies by sheer number of units. They had little ability to think independently, and were very vulnerable to tricks. The droids could operate in almost every environment,
