Mavig was one of the followers of Dr. Sevrin who, in 2269, briefly commandeered the USS Enterprise in their search for the mythical planet Eden. While aboard the Enterprise, she attempted to recruit Hikaru Sulu to their movement, saying she knew he wanted the same things they did. When Sulu asked her how she knew what he wanted, she replied that (it was because) he was young and encouraged him to think young. He replied, "You make it tempting." When Kirk asked Sulu for an explanation as to what he was doing with Mavig, he told the captain he didn't have one. (TOS: "The Way to Eden" )
