This led to one of the more famous killings of a family on Christmas Eve, commited by none other than Mara Aramov. Yavlinsky became an associate of Red Section and its primary bankroller. With the introduction of the Euro currency, the mafia could wash all of Red Section's money gathered from operations through the casino, while Yavlinsky earned a cut of the profits. After the murder of Mihai Niculescu, Aramov sold his paintings to Yavlinsky in exchage for money, and the latter displayed them inside the casino halls. His ties to money laundering caught the attention of Mi6, who informed the Agency during their search into Red Section. Gabriel Logan eliminated Yavlinsky while on the mission, and dried up Singularity's supply of funds.
