Synopsis
  • Deathstroke finds himself involved in the kidnapping of Clarice Gralla, daughter of mafia patriarch Don Gralla. He is briefly captured by the abductors, and Don Casca Rivista warns Deathstroke not to interfere with the arranged wedding of Clarice and his son, Louis. However, all is not what it appears to be. Clarice Gralla is actually the assassin, Stiletto, who has taken the place of the real Clarice in order to get close to two of the West Coast's most powerful crime families. Deathstroke tries to rescue "Clarice", but before he realizes what is going on, Stiletto stabs him in the back. Stiletto begins systematically taking out key figure and things quickly descend into madness as the mafia dons mistakenly believe that Deathstroke is responsible. It is revealed that the real Clarice Gralla, safely tucked away in a mountain cabin, hired Deathstroke to help set up this operation so that she could remove herself from the mafia lifestyle.

quotation
  • This is how fires begin. Little men with big dreams. Long memories. Short imaginations and shorter fuses. And too much time and opportunity. Fires start in the funniest places.
