Donald John Deacon (June 2, 1913 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada – December 25, 1943) was a professional ice hockey winger who played parts of three seasons for the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League from 1936–37 to 1939–40. He played junior hockey for the Regina Pats from 1930 to 1932 and for the senior Prince Albert Mintos from 1932 to 1935. The Detroit Red Wings signed him as a free agent in 1934 and he turned pro in 1935-36 with the Detroit Olympics. He split the next four seasons between the Wings and the Pittsburgh Hornets and some other American Hockey League teams.

He played junior hockey for the Regina Pats from 1930 to 1932 and for the senior Prince Albert Mintos from 1932 to 1935. The Detroit Red Wings signed him as a free agent in 1934 and he turned pro in 1935-36 with the Detroit Olympics. He split the next four seasons between the Wings and the Pittsburgh Hornets and some other American Hockey League teams. After playing in 1940-41 and 1942-43 for the Cleveland Barons, Deacon joined the Canadian military and played for the Calgary Currie Army in 1942-43. Deacon played 30 career NHL games scoring six goals and four assists for ten points. In his only two playoff games, he scored two goals and added an assist. Deacon died after falling from a balcony at a friend's Christmas party in Vancouver, British Columbia while on military leave in 1943.
