Skorghijl is a small island in the middle of Stormwhite Sea. The Wolfwind had to take shelter there during The Icebound Land. Based on its geographical location, it may be based on one of the Danish Isles or Gotland. Skandian captains often stop at it, because of the damage by the storms at the Stormwhite Sea, and when they stop, they often stay there for a few months to recover. It is a bleak, black rock hundreds of kilometres from anywhere. It's wet and freezing and totally devoid of any comfort, not even a single blade of grass. It is currently owned by Skandia, and the Skandians made a few huts to survive the harsh winters.
