Brian Lyall is a British driver from Aberdeen. In the 1995 Rally GB, in a Ford Escort RS Cosworth he finished in 19th place. In addition to this, Lyall was Mintex National Rally Champion in 1997 ahead of fellow Scotsmen Murray Grierson and Sandy Dalgarno, a season that saw him win five events in a row. However in the 1997 Rally GB in November, in a Subaru Impreza, he was forced to retire when his car suffered an electrical problem. In the 1998 Rally GB, also driving a Subaru Impreza, he put behind his 1997 nightmare and finished 15th overall.
