The Nostril of Palaptine was a superweapon developed by renegade Warlord Celie Namgadi following the fall of the Empire. Based on technology used in the construction of the Death Star, the Nostril of Palaptine was far smaller than the dreaded battle station. Ovoid in form, it was approximately 16,000 meters long. Propulsion was provided by a quartet of engines mounted on the back of the vessel, but these were relatively small compared to the size of the ship itself, resulting in a relatively slow sip. The Nostril was also equipped with a Hyperdrive system.

Based on technology used in the construction of the Death Star, the Nostril of Palaptine was far smaller than the dreaded battle station. Ovoid in form, it was approximately 16,000 meters long. Propulsion was provided by a quartet of engines mounted on the back of the vessel, but these were relatively small compared to the size of the ship itself, resulting in a relatively slow sip. The Nostril was also equipped with a Hyperdrive system. The Nostril only had a single weapon; a massive Superlaser. The exact size and capability of the weapon was unclear; the weapon was never fired in anger and the results of any testing were never revealed. The weapon occupied the bulk of the vessel's core and ran for about two-thirds of its length. It also required the majority of the power generated by the ship's overtaxed generators. Because of the power requirements for the laser, the ship lacked in defensive shields. Instead, it relied on its thickly-armored hull for protection. Additionally, it had a hanger bay for a pair of escort ships. In an ideal tactical situation, the ship would be supported by a task force of Star Destroyers who would cover it while it used its main weapon on the target. However, Warlord Namgadi's tactical ineptitude meant that, when attacked, the ship was almost entirely defenseless.
