When magical passengers state their destination, they are enabled to step through a wall into the station. Wunderground stations are essentially similar, with barrel-vaulted ceilings, decorative tile walls and gas lamps, large enough to hold a single Wunderground car, which appears to be an antique subway car, with brightly-lit interiors, upholstered seats and polished wood paneling. When wizarding folk approach a station entrance, the emblem of Wunderground, a golden "W" in a golden circle, appears. Wunderground stations are essentially similar, with barrel-vaulted ceilings, decorative tile walls and gas lamps, large enough to hold a single Wunderground car, which appears to be an antique subway car, with brightly-lit interiors, upholstered seats and polished wood paneling. The stations do not appear to connect to tunnels, but the cars move underground, apparently creating a tunnel as they go. They appear to move undetected through muggle structures and the muggle subway. The Wunderground is administered by the New York region of the U.S. Department of Magic's Division of Magical Transportation.
