| - Galth is the father of the young guard recruit who died in the Gauntlet. His angry glare might turn you to stone.
- "Tell me about this Gauntlet, Ser Hugo. Why is it an occasion for a new guard to die?"
- "This 'tradition' may cost us dearly. Send a sworn sword to explain it to the father."
- "When I hire guards, I trust they'll do their job, and without killing the wrong people!"
- "I must c-commend you on your commitment to justice, my [lord/lady], b-but the guards may balk at punishment..."
- "Trouble during the Gauntlet last night, my [lord/lady]. A guard recruit has died of a bad blow to the head. I'm near to certain it was an accident."
- The two accused guards were no more or less abusive than anyone else, it's simply that they were standing too close to the body.
- "We may curtail this Gauntlet, Alvyn... Those directly responsible will be punished."
- "I will send a sworn sword to speak with the guards once Eleanor has given us her wisdom."
- This is certainly a sullen and morose group after what happened during the recent Gauntlet.
